Births and Christenings

Releasing a butterfly at some ones birth, adds a unique touching gift of beginning a journey which becomes a memorable occasion. The butterfly has long been symbolic of freedom, love and new direction of life for the newborn. Each person releases a butterfly of faith, at the home to which the married couple present their newborn to their family and friends. These butterflies are the guardian protectors, leading the newborn into life, guiding them into the paths of a happy future.

Poems

“We must remain as close to nature, and the butterflies as the child is who is not yet so much taller than they are. We adults, on the other hand, have outgrown them and have to lower ourselves to stoop down to see them. It seems to me butterflies love us when we confess our love for each other. Whoever would partake of all good things must understand how to be small at times.”

~ Earle Whiteley
